Bethany Home Road at Citrus Road

Project Description

This project, currently in the scoping phase, is looking at improvements to the intersection of Bethany Home Road at Citrus Road, to include a traffic signal based on projected future traffic volumes. 

The nearby Allen Ranches development submitted a Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) report in 2020 which identified the need for a future traffic signal at the Bethany Home Road and Citrus Road intersection. With the recent opening of a new high school and many planned developments along the corridor, improved transportation facilities will better accommodate current and future development. 

This scoping phase is currently identifying the infrastructure improvements (right-of-way costs, utility relocation, etc.) needed to install a traffic signal when the warrant is met.

This project has been scheduled for approval of formal scoping documents in February 2025. Final design and construction are currently not programmed.
