Gavilan Peak Parkway and King Drive Intersection Improvements

Project Description

A traffic signal warrant study completed by Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) in October 2019 indicated that a traffic signal at the intersection of Gavilan Peak Parkway and King Drive is warranted. A Scoping Design Report was completed in October 2022 and the recommendations include a signal installation and left turn bays from King Drive.

The goal is to improve the capacity of the intersection and help the flow of traffic.

Schedule is subject to change for reasons beyond MCDOT’s control, including: weather, equipment failure, illness or other circumstances.

During construction, road restrictions may be in place to accommodate work. Please watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and slow down in the work zone.
