Recker Road Micro Surfacing

Project Description
The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is planning road preservation work in Mesa, beginning Monday, March 23, through late April 2026.
Workers will apply a micro seal treatment to Recker Road, from Akron Street to Adobe Street in Mesa. Micro seal applications contain aggregate particles (small, crushed rock) and quick-setting asphalt binders. Micro seal treatments help improve the roadway surface and maintain ride quality.
During construction, crews will work on one side of Recker Road at a time to allow the material to be placed and cure. Access to roads and properties will be maintained during construction; however, there may be a delay while the equipment passes driveways and roads. Crews will provide access to driveways and roads as quickly as possible. The frontage roads on either side of Recker Road are not included in this project and will not be affected.
The work is expected to take approximately five weeks.
Work Schedule
- Where: Recker Road, Akron Street to Adobe Street.
- When: Monday, March 23, to late April 2026.
- Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- No weekend or holiday work is anticipated
