Verrado Way Bridge at Buckeye Canal

Project Description

In order to enhance and extend the life of the roadway, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is conducted preventive maintenance on the Verrado Way bridge over the Buckeye Canal, in the unincorporated area of Liberty, east of Buckeye. Due to the construction involved, a full closure of the bridge and the roadway within the project limits was required.

The project included:

• Removed the bridge deck surface and replaced it with a new concrete surface.
• Added an epoxy overlay to the concrete approach slabs.
• Applied new asphaltic concrete pavement.
• Cleaned up the work zone and other finishing work.
