Jenny Lin Road East of Interstate 17

Project Description
The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is planning for roadway improvements to Jenny Lin Road, from the Interstate 17 Frontage Road to Skunk Creek Wash, west of 37th Avenue, in New River.
These improvements include chip sealing Jenny Lin Road and extending the road to Skunk Creek Wash. This work is targeted to start Friday, April 3, and is expected to last approximately two weeks. MCDOT will reach out to area residents in advance of active construction.
The project includes:
- Extending Jenny Lin Road east to Skunk Creek Wash.
- Chip sealing the road for dust mitigation and to provide for a smoother driving surface.
- Hydroseeding over any disturbed areas with a native seed mix.
- Cleaning up the work zone and other miscellaneous tasks.
During construction, access to Jenny Lin Road and properties will be maintained, however, there may be delays while the surface treatment dries and when equipment passes driveways. Crews will provide access to driveways and the road as quickly as possible.
Work Schedule
Where: Jenny Lin Road, I-17 Frontage Road to Skunk Creek Wash.
When: Friday, April 3, 2026, to late April.
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
No weekend or holiday work is anticipated
