Project #: MG2406

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) crews will remove and replace cattleguards and repair roadways in four (4) locations across Maricopa County.

The four cattleguards are located at: Agua Caliente Extension Road approximately 10 miles west of Old US 80, north and south of the railroad tracks; Agua Caliente Extension Road approximately 17 miles west of Old US 80 near 467th Avenue; Rocky Point Road approximately 6 miles south of Hyder Road

The project will include:

  • Removal of the cattleguard.
  • Repaving of roadway approaches at all locations.
  • Installation of pavement markings.
  • Other miscellaneous work and cleanup.

This project will help extend the life of the roadways and correct uneven transitions caused by travel over the cattleguards. Access to properties will be maintained during construction, however there may be a delay while equipment passes driveways and roads. Crews will provide access to driveways and roads as quickly as possible. Please watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and slow down in the work zone.
