Happy Valley Road and El Granada Intersection Improvement

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is planning a traffic signal installation and upgrade of curb ramps for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance. Due to the high traffic volumes along Happy Valley Road and planned developments south of the intersection, a traffic signal warrant study done by MCDOT indicated that a traffic signal at the intersection of Happy Valley Road and El Granada Boulevard is warranted. There is expected to be challenges to turning onto/from El Granada Boulevard onto/from Happy Valley Road. Turning vehicles are also challenged to get up to speed with the vehicles already traveling on Happy Valley Road.

Final design and construction are not currently programmed.
