The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be constructing improvements at the intersection of Mohave and Fort McDowell roads, located on Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation (FMYN) lands, beginning on Monday April 6 through early June 2026. This project will widen eastbound Mohave Road to provide construction of a new turn lane for traffic traveling south on Fort McDowell Road and includes approximately 400 feet of Fort McDowell Road south of the intersection. Construction will take place within MCDOT right-of-way.
The project includes:
- Widening the eastbound lane of Mohave Road to provide a dedicated right-turn lane at the intersection with Fort McDowell Road
- Installing a Right Turn Only sign on eastbound Mohave Road before the Fort McDowell Road intersection.
