Riggs Road from I-10 to Dobson Road

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) continues with progress on the Rigg Road pavement improvement project, with final design underway and active construction anticipated to begin early 2027. This four-mile segment of Riggs Road was identified for a full-depth pavement replacement to improve the ride quality and extend the lifespan of the roadway, with all work taking place within MCDOT right-of-way. This project also includes Americans with Disabilities (ADA) improvements at the intersections of Dobson Road, Pima Place, and Sun Lakes Boulevard. During final design, utility investigations and preparations will be underway in advance of construction. Temporary restrictions may be needed while investigations are underway, however access to properties will be maintained at all times.
