Sidewalk Repair and Storm Drain Scupper

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be repairing and replacing drainage features along Riggs and Alma School roads in the Sun Lakes area. Construction begins on Thursday, May 28, 2026, and continues through early June 2026. Crews will be working in phases, completing each location before moving to the next.

During construction one travel lane and the bike lane adjacent to the work zone will be closed. One travel lane will remain open to traffic.

The project includes:

• Repairing drainage facilities
• Cleaning up the work zone and other miscellaneous work.

Please allow for extra time for travel as there can be delays during construction. Please watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and slow down in the work zone.
