Chip Seal Preservation, New River- 11th Avenue, from Honda Bow to 13th Avenue & 3rd St. Linda Ln to Honda Bow

Project #: MH2604

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be performing pavement preservation work in the New River area to extend the life of the roadway, renew the surface, seal cracks, and protect the road from UV rays. MCDOT advises drivers to plan ahead for temporary daytime lane closures and possible delays in both directions on roads undergoing construction. Flagging operations will be in place to help direct traffic while work is underway. Construction begins on Monday, April 20, 2026 and continues through May 2026.

The project includes:

Chip sealing the existing roadway.

Installing drainage support structures on 3rd Street north of Linda Lane.

Cleaning up the work zone and other miscellaneous work.

Please allow for extra time for travel as there can be delays during construction. Please watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and slow down in the work zone.
