Olive Avenue, 99th Avenue to Agua Fria River Microsurfacing

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) is planning road preservation work on Olive Avenue, from 99th Avenue to the Agua Fria River, beginning Monday, April 6, to early June 2026.

Workers will apply a preservative micro seal treatment to Olive Avenue, from 99th Avenue to the Agua Fria River in Peoria. Micro seal applications contain aggregate particles (small, crushed rock) and quick-setting asphalt binders. Micro seal treatments help improve the roadway surface and maintain ride quality.

During construction, crews will work on one side of Olive Avenue at a time to allow the material to be placed and cure before completing each section. Access to roads and properties will be maintained during construction, however, there may be delays while the equipment passes driveways and roads. Crews will provide access to driveways and roads as quickly as possible.

The work is expected to take approximately two months.

• Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
