Slurry Seal Preservation, Sun City West

Project Description
The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) advises drivers to plan ahead for weekday lane closures and possible delays in both directions for pavement preservation work in Sun City West, beginning Monday, September 22nd through late November, 2025, with crews moving along the work zone, completing each section before moving to the next.
The project includes:
- Slurry sealing the existing roadway.
- Applying new striping and pavement markings.
- Cleaning up the work zone and other miscellaneous work.
The pavement preservation project will help extend the life of the roadway, renew the surface, seal small cracks, and protect the road from UV rays. During construction, road restrictions may be in place to accommodate work, and it is recommended to allow extra time for travel in the area. Access to properties will be maintained during construction, however there may be a delay while equipment passes driveways and roads. Crews will provide access to driveways and roads as quickly as possible.
Please do not park on the roads where crews are working, obey traffic control signs, slow down while driving through the work zone, and avoid driving on freshly treated roads.
