Project #: MH2502

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) advises drivers to plan ahead for temporary, daytime lane closures and possible delays in both directions of roadways for pavement preservation work in southwestern Maricopa County near Gila Bend and in the Buckeye area on weekdays, beginning Thursday, April 17 through Friday, May 2, 2025, in the Gila Bend area, and Thursday, May 1 through Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in the Buckeye area.

Crews will perform the pavement preservation work along:

  • Maricopa Road (Arizona State Route 238) between mile markers 7 and 24;
  • Southern Avenue between Rainbow Road and Dean Road;
  • 207th Avenue between MC85 and Beloat Road;
  • Perryville Road between Southern Avenue and MC85.

The project map will be updated to reflect current construction activity as work progresses

The project includes:

  • Chip sealing the existing roadway.
  • Striping work and pavement markings.
  • Other miscellaneous work and cleanup.

The pavement preservation project will help extend the life of the roadway, renew the surface, seal cracks, and protect the road from UV rays. Please watch for work crews, reduce speeds and obey all traffic control signs in the work zone.
