Project Description

The project improvements are at the Northern Avenue and State Route 101 intersection, part of the federally funded Northern Parkway program.

The goal of this project is to serve population growth, improve travel time, provide regional connectivity, improve regional facility spacing and improve east-west traffic flow in the northwest Valley.

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will extend the existing ADOT drainage channel Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert (RCBC) on both sides of Northern Avenue to accommodate advance utility relocations and the ultimate roadway expansion. A flume for SRP-Irrigation will be constructed.

The target start is late January 2025. The work is expected to last approximately 60 days.
