Project #: MM2304

Project Description

The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) crews will repair or remove cattleguards and repair roadways in four (4) locations across Maricopa County.

The four cattleguards are located at North 427th Avenue and West Salome Highway; West Indian School Road just west of North 419th Avenue; Johnson Road just north of Interstate 10; North 195th Avenue just south of West Patton Road.

The project will include:

  • Replacement of the cattleguard at West Salome Highway and North 427th Avenue.
  • Clean out of the cattleguard on West Indian School Road just west of North 419th Avenue.
  • Removal of the cattleguard on Johnson Road, just north of Interstate 10
  • Removal of the cattleguard on North 195th Avenue just south of West Patton Road.
  • Repaving of roadway approaches at all locations.
  • Installation of pavement markings.
  • Other miscellaneous work and cleanup.

This project will help extend the life of the roadways and correct uneven transitions caused by travel over the cattleguards. Access to properties will be maintained during construction, however there may be a delay while equipment passes driveways and roads. Crews will provide access to driveways and roads as quickly as possible. Please watch for work crews, obey all traffic control signs and slow down in the work zone.
